Eligibility and Media: All submitted work must be original, represent teapots, either functional or sculptural and have been completed within the last 2 years. This exhibit is open to all artists who work in clay. Each piece must be at least 60% fired clay, weigh no more than 25 lbs and be no larger than 24” in any direction. The $45 C.A.M.E.O. membership/entry fee entitles each artist to submit a maximum of 2 teapots.
Prizes: All accepted entries will be eligible for 1st Place, “Purchase Award”; 2nd Place, “Memorial Award” and “People’s Choice” awards. The 2012 ”Memorial Award” will be given in honor of Paul Soldner. The winning pieces will be featured on the 18 Hands Gallery and C.A.M.E.O. websites during the month. Cash Awards are: $1,000 for “Purchase Award” and $500 for “Memorial Award.” Both “Purchase Award” and “Memorial Award” winners will be added to C.A.M.E.O.’s permanent museum collection.
