Kathy Blossom
Kathy Blossom was born and raised in Oklahoma, but she and her husband Stan now call Montgomery, Texas "home." After a first (and most rewarding) career as mother to two now grown sons, Kathy returned to college, including a summer of study in Italy, and compleed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sam Houston State University in 2002. Her work has been shown in galleries across Texas and she was recently featured in Texas Highways magazine.
Kathy has also been active in ClayHouston, a local non-profit that fosters educational outreach and professional opportunities in the ceramic arts. As a member of the ClayHouston board, Kathy has focused on outreach to local schools and ceramics programs and organizing volunteers for the past two years' ClayHouston Festival events. She has also been an active volunteers with Open Bowls, a nation-wide collaboration between artists and local food banks.
