Malcolm Davis - Wrangling Porcelain & Roping Carbon in Texas
Don't miss this great workshop by our June exhibition artist!10AM-4PM each day
Workshop Description: Malcolm Davis is internationally recognized for his work with carbon trap shino-type glazes. On Saturday we will have a kiln load of shino glazed pots firing so Malcolm can show us some of his firing techniques and give us some tips. While the kiln is firing he will demonstrate his wheel thrown forms while regaling us with his many wonderful tales. On Sunday we will unload the kiln and hopefully marvel over all of the wonderful carbon and spots.
Since Malcolm doesn’t get down this way too often, please don’t miss this opportunity to see one the most educational and entertaining workshops you ever have the joy of attending. To save time both days, we are requesting the attendees to bring a favorite food item to share for lunch…Malcolm loves Potluck.
